EEK! Sorry I was gone so long...

Holidays, Holidays, Holidays. This time of year can really throw you off. Can't wait for it all to settle back down so I can do some real Party with Bo stuff.

For New Year's Eve, a lot of my friends are staying home (don't trust the drunks and the crazies), but for me, I have found one of the two costume parties I have heard about in the Denver area. This one is down in Littleton and should be a blast. I have a pretty cool 18th century costume I can wear so I am off to the Toad Tavern tonight. With costumes and a cool DJ, it should be a blast. Hope to see you there...

Pre-holiday weekend...

With the coming of the holidays, everything takes on a different feel, a different look. Lots of people are out of town and busy with family stuff for the holidays, so the dynamics of a lot places and events changes. For me, tonight it is a small "party with Bo". Two people to be exact as we take in a dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Lolas and then we plan to head over to Sing Sing in Denver. Hope you all are having a great Saturday too. Cheers! Bo

Full Friday...

Last night's meetup rocked. Met some very cool people.

Lots of stuff going on tonight, folks. First, my boy Scott and I are off to our local dive bar for the going away of one very cool bartender. Then it is off to the The Denver Night Life Meetup Group's Private party with dancing at the Funky Buddha Lounge. If you are in the area I hope to see you. This is going to be a rockin' event. Cheers Bo

Christmas in Mexico...

My boy Scott is hosting a "Meetup" tonight called "Christmas in Mexico". This is part of the Ethnic Food Dining Out Meetup Group. Good food, cool young professional people, a pimping host, what else could you ask for? This one is a definite "check it out" event. I'll be there and come tell me if you are too....Cheers! Bo

And Now For Something Completely Different...

Social experts often talk about developing a well-rounded self so that you are more able to move around comfortably in social situations. Today is one of those days for me. I am off to my first ever Toastmasters meeting. For anyone that does not know what Toastmasters is, here is a brief explanation from their site: "...a world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience." I figure any self-improvement is worth checking out, so off I go. Cheers! Bo

On to Lakewood...

Too bad the roads were so bad last night. Couldn't get out to Boulder for the Open Mike, but tonight it looks like the roads will cooperate and so it is on to Lakewood.

Tonight I'll be making a fool of myself in front of a bunch of strangers as I check out the Karaoke Meetup Group for the first time. It will be at Greenfield's and I expect it will be a great time. If you are not doing anything come on down and we can do a duet, or if not, just hang with me and we can meet all these new folks together... Cheers! Bo

Maybe Going North for Monday...

Mondays are always mellow nights so it looks like I might head up North to an Open Mike Night. I have heard that Johnny's Cigar Bar is having an Open Mike Night hosted by Silent Bear (With Amy Katchur 7:30 sign up 8pm start). Still haven't checked out all the Open Mike Night's around, but this one looks like it bears watching (no pun intended). If its not too cold out and I can get my car to start maybe I will see you there...Bo

Santa Claus is coming to town...and so is Santa...and Santa...and...

So...tonight is the traditional Running of the Santas, and that is where my buddies and I will be. We figure if one Santa has our number then we can find at least one that won't bring us coal. Seriously, a great time will be had by all as dozens of santas will make this yearly charity run from Lodo's to Jackson's.

What is it?
"The Running of the Santas™ is an annual bar tour. What started with 40 santas in Philadelphia has turned into a national phenomenon. The goal is to raise money for a local charity" (this year I think it is Pediatric Cancer) "while getting a lot of santas together for one big party. In Philadelphia, over 5,000 santas are expected at the event in 2008. Live bands, great beer specials, a Hottest Santa Contest, and a short "RUN" (two blocks) is what makes the Running of the Santas™ something special."

This year 25 cities are participating.

Come on down, regardless of whether you are naughty or nice. At the very least maybe you can sit on a Santa's lap..or vice-versa. ;)

What's up for Friday December 12th?

The Denver Night Life Enthusiasts are taking the idea of nightlife pretty seriously as they have their meetup tonight at the zoo. Cool idea....literally. Scott is expected to check it out and I will probably hook up with his crew later. BTW - here is the link to the zoo thing. Zoo Meetup

Good Grief! So Here We Go....

Fat, drunk, and lost is no way to go through life. That being said, a single professional should not be lost and that, my friends is where we come to my blog. Scott, my hip, pimping friend from South of Denver, and I, the aforementioned lost person from North of Denver with a slight resemblance to a famous comic book character, will now set out to give you all the info you need to survive in this world of "Really? I wish I had known about that. I definitely would have gone."

So, you, my fellow Colorado professionals, sit back and buckle up because Scott and I will now take you on what we believe to be, a wild ride through all that we can do in one of the most hopping metro areas in the country... Chill! Bo
